The Journey with the Holy Spirit Part 2

 

I have been walking with the Lord but for real everyday is a new lesson.

So, there's this day I was living my day as usual and out of the blue I had a nudge in my spirit to pray for someone close to me. By that time I had that nudge, she was in an exam but I blushed it off and didn't care about it.

Here is the thing that happened... I  heard the nudge, I thought of her specifically but I didn't do anything about it. (And the Holy Spirit has already communicated)

So, later I came to learn that she had failed the exam on the last phase of the exam (By the time I heard the nudge, she was around the final phase of the exam) and hearing her side of story it was kind of unfair how she failed because basing what she did/how she responded she was supposed to pass.

I immediately connected all dots and realized that it was the Holy Spirit who prompted me to pray for her because the enemy had aimed to steal her victory. Then the enemy came back to me to pin the blame on me...

I started condemning myself for not praying for her when I felt the nudge, he started to make me the villain of the story... I agree I was lazy and didn't stand in gap for her as someone whom the Holy Spirit even tipped off but all these accusations made me angry and depressed for not doing what I was supposed to do... He could tell me; had you prayed for her then she would have passed... and all those voices condemned me.

But then I shifted the focus from self blame to what positive could come out of the situation. Because we tend to be depressed or caught up by negative thoughts once we keep our focus on the negativities. I looked at the situation as something to learn from, I learnt that I shouldn't mess with the Holy Spirit's nudges because she is where I'm  not and she knows why I should stand up and war on behalf of that specific individual he put on my heart... 

When I heard the nudge it immediately came with the subject and that specific individual is the one whom the Holy Spirit was calling me to intercede for but I was lazy... and after all I learnt that lesson the hard way...

Why this story?

Most of the times, Holy Spirit prompts us to do something or talk to someone or compliment them or anything you could feel in your Spirit... Please don't shake off that feeling because you might find out you are the one who is supposed to rescue/deliver that person from whatever they are going through. 

I kindly request you to pay attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit through your heart because you could save someone's life through saying a small prayer of protection over them or telling them a good word or anything the Holy Spirit prompts you to do because he knows what you don't know, he sees what no one could tell you about them and together we can make the world a better place... 

Remember the Holy Spirit is your friend! 

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever" John 14:16-17

Later after some time she went back and won that exam and we praised the Lord for the journey wasn't easy but he walked with us in all!
